Almost 500 people participated in this year’s Northern Health Charity Fun Run on Sunday October 23, including many Northern Health staff.
After early morning cloud threatened the annual event was help in perfect, sunny conditions.
This year’s Fun Run, hosted by YMCA and City of Whittlesea, was the tenth consecutive year that funds have been raised for Northern Health allied health services and equipment.
Strong support from local residents saw the Fun Run feature avid runners, parents jogging with prams, sprinting children and community teams aplenty.
After completing the event, there were show bags and refreshments for all participants, with awards being presented to the day’s high achievers in a special ceremony following the race.
In addition to helping raise funds for Northern Health, the Fun Run continued its tradition of bringing people together, building fitness and strengthening community spirit. It was a truly fantastic day out and staff are encouraged to participate in next year’s event.
