The Northern Health Community Fun Run, held on Sunday 27 April, was a great success, with 1,200 registered participants. The spectators and entrants were treated to a warm up from the Indigenous Hip Hop Project. Craig Booby, winner of the latest series of the Biggest Loser started the 8km run, with Acting Northern Health CEO Robert Burnham starting the 4km event. Along the course, walkers and runners were entertained by singer Peter Rotumah and DJ Rivaboi (Clayton Murray-Mitchell). One of the special children’s activities featured a Vic Cricket bowling workshop, helped out by Melbourne based Big Bash League mascots. After the event, Ronald McDonald, Hamburglar, Grimace and Birdie presented a special show.
