Trudi Hay’s Virtual Cancer High Tea

Join Northern Health Foundation Board Member and Patron Trudi Hay for a cup of tea in your favourite tea cup via Microsoft Teams next Friday Oct 16th at 2 p.m. till 3 p.m. for this year’s Cancer high Tea.

There will be a couple of guest speakers from Northern Health including the newly appointed Chief Medical Officer Wanda Stelmach and Melissa Gwynne from Day Oncology who will be talking about the challenges with Cancer, general health and COVID-19.

You will have the opportunity to put forward questions you would like answered prior to the event for Wanda and Melissa to answer.

There will be a musical number for your enjoyment and if you donate on our trybooking page your name will go into the prize draw that will be drawn out live during the event to win one of 20 plus prizes. We have over 20 prizes to be won including accommodation packages, beauty packs, cab vouchers and beautifully wrapped gift hampers to name a few. Prizes will be delivered safely to your door.

We know we are all going through tough times at present and totally understand if you are not in a position to donate, however please still feel free to join us on Microsoft Teams. Unfortunately Cancer has not been in lockdown and we are worried that a number of cases are not being detected over this time. So please get your check-ups when they are due and contact your doctor even via telehealth if you have found anything. You need to do it now.

During lockdown chemotherapy nurses have been trialing treating cancer patients safely in the privacy of their own home. Now this program is going to start in November. All money raised from this event will go towards this area to help with home treatments.

Donations over $2.00 will be issued with a receipt.

Grazing boxes are available for pick up in Greenvale for only $25 for this event. Contact Trudi at thay@coreprojects.com.au to order your grazing box or to send your question for Wanda and Melissa. Grazing box deadline is Wednesday 14th October at 4 p.m.
